Ramalinga Raju and Venkat Changavalli

ABSTRACT
India is booming with visionary initiatives to transform rural India and its poor. This tech talk tells the story of one corporation that is leveraging its core competency to address the issues.

Satyam group of Industries took on new missions starting in 2001 - to serve and transform the "Bottom of the Pyramid" - a phrase coined by Prof. C.K. Prahalad. Driven by the vision of Mr. Ramalinga Raju and his family, Satyam is forging ahead on three different fronts:

The Byrraju Foundation: has developed a model of transforming villages into self sufficient commercial societies. To date this initiative has transformed the lives of ~2M people.

Gram-IT: A model to take BPO jobs to the villages where loyalty is high, costs are extremely low and the success of which will transform the global service industry yet again.

EMRI: A 911 analog (108 in India) which has innovated and deployed a model of bringing emergency services at <$1 per incident. In the short six months the program has saved an estimated 1500 lives.

The Art of Complex Problem Solving

An Exceptionally created Art that explains each and every aspect of Complex problem solving and skills required.. India's top 5 per cent has now the same infrastructure and resources available in the US.
The question at this point we need to ask ourselves is: why someone else has to realise our talent?

Can we not realise it ourselves?

Why do we need to stay awake all night and follow an asked-to-do process?

Why only IBM had to take the initiative for automating scripts for automating call centre operations? READ MORE...

Build your own home made rovers

Has nice different articles and tons of pictures...
check out

Net-Tools for many Purposes

A collection of over 100 tools written in MS Visual Studio all packaged into one Zip file. The recent development has hopefully turned it into high productivity tool. We are proud that the operation and navigation of FreeMind is faster than that of MindManager because of one-click "fold / unfold" and "follow link" operations.

So you want to write a completely new metaphysics? Why don't you use FreeMind? You have a tool at hand that remarkably resembles the tray slips of Robert Pirsig, described in his sequel to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance called Lila. Do you want to refactor your essays in a similar way you would refactor software? Or do you want to keep personal knowledge base, which is easy to manage? Why don't you try FreeMind? Do you want to prioritize, know where you are, where you've been and where you are heading, as Stephen Covey would advise you? Have you tried FreeMind to keep track of all the things that are needed for that?

TM4J - Topic Maps For Java

The goal of the TM4J Project is to develop robust, open-source tools for creating, manipulating and publishing topic maps

Another innovative Idea

An Israeli firm has found a way to make computers totally disappear from offices. The company's "Jack-PC" squishes inside a standard in-the-wall network connector box and contains a Windows CE based thin-client computer. Not to say that somebody, someday could come up with such thing soon enough but rather an inspirational thought to spur up things and stir up stuff in our brains to think something innovative enough to help a needy. This is especially needed in remote place.

As of me, by reading this article i could imagine things like remote assistance for practitioners / doctors in remote places who could possible get some remote assitance, from Doctors of well-know super-speciality hospitals, to assist them in critical conditions.

Another thought is a remote education (specialization in a field) for the same. Do give it a skim.

What You really need to know to make great idea a great company !!!

Inside a new program designed to tell entrepreneurs what they really need to know to make their great idea a great company. Read More...

Welcome !!!

This is a blog created with a Special Purpose mainly focussed on Rural Development.
